Do Men Prefer Romance Over Sex?

This is a really interesting study. I’ve long been fascinated by the potential differences between men and women when it comes to visual imagery.
The long-held belief is that men, generally, are stimulated visually while women are stimulated by aural or written erotica. It is also generally considered that men like the hardcore and women want the softcore.
Surely all rules are made to be broken and Ashley Thompson’s study seems to indicate as such.
Who’d have thought men would be into romance?
Not current society. Not our cultural assumptions.
I know I’m all romantic and I’m definitely all about falling in love. But I do love the hardcore images.
So I guess I straddle the fence!
