Some interesting thoughts on where our sex lives lie. Are they spiritual or profane?
I have had this debate within myself and it almost became a blog post. But I stopped myself because it was going to be a moderately negative writing.
To sum it up, without the bit of nasty I might have included back then, I definitely fall into the box of profane. Frankly, I don’t really get the spiritual connection to sex. I believe in connection with one’s partner, but I do not need or want my sex to be anything beyond an act of pleasure. Much respect to those who seek more, but sometimes I feel inadequate for not looking for more, not seeking more, not experiencing more. I certainly wouldn’t turn down the opportunity to experiment with different sexual experience and expression…I just don’t think a spiritual connection to sex is right for me.
