Very interesting article here that challenges some growing ideas about what porn for women should be, what women want and who makes the rules of that divide.
I think these arguments are a bit premature. Feminist or female-oriented porn is too young a genre to have taken enough root in study. Maybe women prefer male-gaze porn at this point because they haven’t been exposed to a female-gaze alternative. Or maybe that is what they like. I think we need to wait until feminist porn has become interwoven into the porn universe. A telling stat to back that up? Millennials are watching the most porn. And they’ve coming into the genre without being exposed to exclusively male-created porn.
