There are so many issues in this James Franco controversy. I was actually convinced it was a poor April Fool’s joke. There are age of consent issues, there are social media relationship issues. But this article seems to gloss over the age issue while focussing solely on social media problems. Thereby possibly shifting the focus away from Franco.
I’m uncomfortable with this. In the exchange, she clearly states her age. Regardless your opinion on age of consent for sex, at this point, I believe, it would have been illegal for him to hook up with her. And that is poor judgement. To try and shift that blame to the ills of social media and celebrity is irresponsible. I’m a fan but this was foolish.
