Break-up Photos or Reconstructed Narrative?

There are very nice photos, but it seems a narrative for an article has been built after the fact. There doesn’t seem to be anything indicative in them of his impending departure from the relationship (I can’t learn more about it because the originating site is down). And given that she and he are not in contact anymore, but she consented to publishing these images…is that tantamount to revenge art?
