When I first started reading On Monogamy, I was skeptical of writer Madeleine Mitchell’s use of a fictional couple to define the “ultimate in perfect relationships.”
Well, of course a fictional couple can represent the ideal. They are written that way, molded that way, crafted that way.
Fortunately, Mitchell doesn’t rely too heavily on using Nick and Nora as flag bearers of relationship bliss and I soon discovered that she herself writes a damn-near perfect discussion of the core value central to both monogamous and open/poly relationships.
Great read!
