CatalystCon is fast approaching, March 14th – 16st.
CatalystCon is a conference created to inspire exceptional conversations about sexuality. It is about reaching out and stimulating those who attend to create those important conversations in their own communities, changing how we as a society talk and treat sexuality. It is about stimulating the activist that is within all of us and sparking transformation in the way our friends, neighbors, children and even politicians discuss one of the most important aspects of humanity.
Founder/Creator Dee Dennis regards this conference as a “melting pot of sexuality” that will unite sex educators, sexologists, sex workers, writers, activists, those in the adult industry and anyone with a passion for creating change. “Knowledge is power, and sharing that knowledge is the first spark in igniting change.” This is the fundamental principle behind CatalystCon.’
As a survivor of the sex trade and now a sex positive blogger, I believe that this conference is important for me to be part of. Attending will help me be a better blogger, activist for sex positive education and so much more.
To be able to attend, I’m reaching out to you my friends, supporters and followers. As many of you know, I gave up my job and went to help my daughter, who’s in the Army, with her baby when her husband was deployed. Needless to say, this leaves me without the ability to earn the money for my ticket and the trip myself. The total cost of the weekend will be around $500.00 including my ticket, hotel, food and gas. I humbly turn to you and ask for a bit of help to cover these costs. Please, if you’re able to, consider blessing me with a small donation towards this event. Honestly, even a donation of 1.00 will be a great help and will add up quickly.
If I don’t raise enough money to at least purchase a floor pass for one day, then any money donate will be promptly returned. Truly, I’m not here to take advantage of anyone and in all good conscience, I could never keep the money if I’ m not able to attend.
