Toronto’s last porn theatre, The Metro, has apparently closed it’s doors “for good.” So says a handwritten sign in the window.
I only ever made it to the Metro once, and that was just this year for a screening leading up to the Feminist Porn Awards. I am no stranger to porn theatres, it is just that I have never really spent significant time in that part of the city. It would be wonderful if the theatre is maintained as a live event venue, it has a distinct charm to it.
Unfortunately though, to all those out there who won’t have a place to rub one out anymore, sorry for your loss.
