Calling all current and former peeps involved in Sex Work (this includes clients and sex bloggers!)
My intentions are to gather as many current and ex-sex workers as possible along with clients and friends/ family to share their stories with the intent of dispelling myths and supporting, educating and entertaining!
So if you have a funny anecdote or a sad bad date story or special tips and tricks you learned to give a fantastic bj or to keep yourself safe please share!
I wanna help join the fight for sex workers rights and I feel that I need to take advantage of my unique position in the trade to do so.
I spent 5 years selling my ass on a corner – survival sex style and though I was lucky enough not to experience the violence of a pimp it still was traumatizing. Despite this fact, when I turned my life around and got off of drugs I returned to sex work 4 years later and am proud that I use my past to my advantage rather than be a victim of circumstance. I really do love the work that I do now and I accomplish that with strong boundaries. I market myself based on what I love to do- erotic massage and sex toys, rather than the self destruction of doing any ol sexual act simply because money is thrown at me.
There are so many stereotypes and stigma attached to sex work and my goal with my ‘Tales from the Trade’ community is to dispel both the myths of the workers and of the clients.
Not all sex workers were abused as children or lacked a strong father figure and not all clients are womanizers.
Please come share your stories- I also want to burst the glamour bubble – sex work is tough work and you need to be cut out for it to handle it. It may not be all roses but it isn’t all hell either.
The community has been set up so that anybody can join- basic rules surrounding shaming, hatred, spamming and advertising apply. You are welcome to provide links to any relevant site but please no affiliate sales . Once you have joined groups will be visible to you. If you do not see the group you fit into or the group you are interested in-please create one! You are welcome to moderate any sex work related group you wish! Each group has forums and these can be set to any privacy level you wish. My hope is that we will gather, share stories, laugh, cry and maybe even learn something.
I will only publish stories on my site with the permission of the authors – I think soon I will make Tales from the Trade a subdomain but I will continue to have a TFTT page on my review site.
