There is a very interesting discussion playing out about the resurgence of the “pull-out” method of birth control.
At first I was pretty damn skeptical, even downright shocked that this is even being discussed. I am completely sympathetic and understanding of women not wanting to use chemical forms of birth control, but this method just seems so problematic and the least likely to be effective.
But this post by the Red Tent Sisters has me thinking more. They make great points and have tremendous knowledge on the proper use of the pull-out technique. They also cover all of the questions I had (sti’s, cycle, man’s ability to stop).
Plus, I do have to remember that a barrier method did fail me in the past.
