I’m just catching up on things after a jumping off the blog train for the weekend.
I am very intrigued by this. Is the use of ED drugs a given for male performers in the porn industry? Given that there is now a well-known star who is quitting the business because of issues with these drugs…should something be done about their use and medical side effects?
Having done a small amount of porn work, I know full-well that it is difficult to get it up and keep it up while shooting a scene (with angles, lighting checks, different positions, etc.), but relying on a drug to ensure you aren’t a “mediocre” performers sounds foolish and dangerous—on the parts of the performers who take the drugs and, dare I say, directors who might expect it (I’ve got no proof on that statement, it is just a theory).
