Varying Sexual Attraction: What You Present and What You Want

This is a brilliant response by Dr. Justin Lehmiller to the question of whether someone can have one sexual identity, say straight, but be sexually attracted to people of the same sex. And vice versa, or any other configuration that attraction can occur. Lehmiller hits on sexual stigma and sexual fluidity, two very strong but contrasting reasons that explain varying sexual attraction. Stigma preventing revealing one’s true attraction has certainly held many back from true sexual happiness, but I like to think that we will move toward a society where fluidity will be the true explanation of many sexual attractions. Hell, I consider it a potential utopia!
