Photograph the Male Nude under Natural Light
Saturday July 6
Model releases will be offered so that you can use the images you shoot for any purpose (such as portfolio building, or creating artworks)
WORKSHOP OVERVIEW
This is a one-time workshop offered by Teresa Ascencao, Instructor at Easy Camera Art ~ an exquisit opportunity to work with an experienced live nude model, Phlip Arima.
This natural light photography workshop focuses on fully Manual shooting mode. You will be guided through Aperture, metering and focal lengths appropriate to portraiture (see recommended lenses below under “What to Bring”).
Topics also covered are: metering, histogram, ISO, white balance, reflectors, abstraction and composition of the human form, mood and form through natural light.
WORKSHOP DETAILS
We will be shooting hand held for greatest flexibility with angles and compositions, but participants may bring a tripod if they wish (for lower ISO settings such as 100).
Through easy visuals, I begin by briefly explaining the general flow of light through the camera, especially with respect to the Aperture, Shutter and sensor. Before we start shooting, we will briefly observe and discuss the quality and direction of light falling on the model and how we will manipulate it.
In preparation for shooting, I will get everyone to take a metre reading of light on the model. I will facilitate the first poses the model takes. Later, participants will take turns getting experience in asking the model to move around under the natural light with poses of particular interest.
This is an indoor event, so it goes forward rain or shine! 🙂
RSVP
