Yes, the decision to have or not have pubic hair is an entirely confusing and contradictory affair. I’ve heard it said elsewhere that men are growing up thinking women don’t even have pubic hair, because the bald look has been so pervasive in porn for so long. It has become expected that women look like Barbie dolls (and this goes for legs, armpits, bellies, nipples, faces).
But how many men are being shamed into shaving or waxing or even trimming the hair around their junk? Women are not only expected to, I’ve definitely met guys who will think twice about a woman who had hair. And that is just ridiculous.
Having hair is natural, and keeping it natural is a fine personal choice. Choosing to shave it is also a fine personal choice. Being pressured by society into keeping your body’s landscape is bullshit.
