Erotic Romance Reader Survey

Kenya Wright asked me to pass this along. I’m going to do the survey myself this morning!

Erotic Romance Reader Survey

Author Kenya Wright is conducting a survey on erotic romance readers for a non-fiction book that she’s writing on the marriage of erotica and romance.
Purpose: I’ve read a lot of negative research on reading romance novels and am wondering if this data truly represents the erotic romance community. Here are a few that stand out for me:
· “Love Means Never Having to Be Careful: Relationship between safe sex and romance novels.” Diekman AB.
· “The Surprising Impact that Romance Novels have on our Work.” Quilliam, Susan.
· Books discussing that romance novels can lead to marital and relationship dissatisfaction. “Finding the Hero in your Husband.” Dr. Julia Slattery.

Besides the obvious show of bias seen in these studies, romance and erotic romance novels are thrown together as one interchangeable genre where as fans understand that they are two different types of novels and reading audience.
My Goal is to get a decent representation of what the erotic romance readership truly looks like.
