Call For Submissions
Juicy Pink Box is launching a publishing division. We’re looking for lesbian erotica. Email submissions to pubishing@juicypinkbox.com
Payment will be $50 per short story (4.5-5K), $75 per novella/medium length story (10-15K). We will be purchasing a 2 year exclusive license, with first right of refusal to purchase all rights or renew a license at the end of the term. Authors will be paid in full once final manuscript has been accepted.
Three categories:
1. Fiction ebook short story of 4.5-5K words (or novella 10-15K words). Falling for Her– a series about straight women falling in love with other women. Tone is more light, romantic, sensual, sweet.
2. Hot, steamy, raunchy non-fiction ebook short story of 4.5-5K words (or novella 10-15K words) of a real life, true story/ “confession” of BDSM lesbian experience. Can be told either from the role of the sub or the domme.
3. Ebook short story of 4.5-5K words for the TAXI series theme. So, this will be a naughty, rough, gritty hook-up in the back of a taxi, or with the taxi driver. Also lesbian characters, of course. This ties in to the Juicy Pink Box TAXI series in theme (but will feature original content/plotlines).
Here are the list of NO TOPICS (themes we find objectionable):
-rape (unless consensual, as in a Sub/Domme relationship)
-violence/ domestic violence (unless consensual, as in a Sub/Domme relationship)
-incest, even if implied (ex. Stepmom)
-bestiality
-scat/ golden shower/ menstrual blood
-underage sex (except in situations where it’s a “true story”, and even then 15-16 is the cut off, depending on content)
-extreme power imblances (ex. high school student with teacher, or much older woman and younger woman)
-trickery in seduction (no one getting fooled/ forced into sex or a relationship through fraud or coercion)
TOPICS WE’D LOVE TO SEE:
-story lines about women of color — NOT MAIDS/ HOUSEKEEPERS! Giving them good jobs and interesting lives
-any kind of exotic location
-luxury lifestyle
-story lines about straight women struggling with sexuality (happy ending required — no “I killed myself” stuff)
-rough and raunchy
-soft and sensual
-really clear descriptions of the sex
-strong character development — meaning, better to focus on 3 or fewer well-developed characters rather than a whole crew of less-defined characters
-an air of mystery
-surprise endings
-great love story (romantic, tear jerker, so long as it has a happy ending — a la chick lit/ rom-com)
