I have never understood the reasoning of teaching children such ridiculous words like “peepee” “weewee” and other stupid sounds to describe physical body parts. A penis is a penis, a vagina is a vagina. Why are these words so frightening? Could ‘arm’ and ‘leg’ be considered obscene some day? People certainly do fetishize those—and all—body parts!
When my kids were young, they learned the standard words. There was just no debate in the matter. Frankly, I didn’t want them to sound like idiots.
