Are you reading The Madame’s “SexPlus” series in the Toronto Standard? You should be. She is the shining star of sex columnists these days–I always enjoy her articles.
This week she takes on media’s portrayal of safer sex in SexPlusProtection. This is a difficult issue for producers of sexual content. It is a massive debate in the porn community and we even had a robust discussion about at the Toronto Erotica Writers and Readers meetup one night.
People either want fictional media (tv, film, books) to reflect the societal necessity for action on safer sex OR people want fictional work to remain a fantasyland where we can fuck around with whomever we choose, without repercussion.
