Sexualized Childhood, Well, For Girls That Is

This is an excellent article on the societal push to create sexual beings out of little girls. Can you believe padded bras in the young miss section?
Unfortunarely, this is what society dictates. Little girls are supposed to grow up to be sexual as quickly as possible and breast development is an indication that she is on her way. Even if every other aspect of her still screams “child.”
I’ve tried to think if there are any societal pushes aimed at little boys. Can’t think of a damn one. In fact, “boys will be boys” is a phrase that men can use well into adulthood. We aren’t forced to grow up too soon, we’re actualy discouraged from doing so!
