I still watch Glee despite it becoming a truly awful show (funnily, last night’s episode was about guilty pleasures).
During last night’s show I was reminded that there was some pretty significant sex worker shaming last week. Rachel had been dating Brody for some time. Santana discovered Brody is a “gigolo” on the side. Santana outs him, Finn beats the shit out of him and they force him to break things off with Rachel.
All because he’s a sex worker.
For a show that tries really hard to break down stereotypes, to promote acceptance…this is unacceptable.
