I can only wonder the questions asked by Donna Freitas that would result in such a skewed (seeming) view of the sex lives of young adults. It sounds very much like she had an agenda going in and that the results are…convenient.
I occasionally spend time with university-aged folks. We talk about sex. Some want casual sex, some want relationships. The numbers I glean are not similar to Frietas’.
And profs leading life-lessons? Please. Many don’t even care enough to learn names, never mind guide students.
To me, it sounds like The End of Sex: How Hookup Culture is Leaving a Generation Unhappy, Sexually Unfulfilled, and Confused about Intimacy is nothing more than a morality lesson disguised as research. I’ll be giving it a pass.
