The editors of Go Deeper Press are looking for erotic, fictional stories in which the central character recovers—or starts to recover—from sexual shame. Perhaps your protagonist longs to cross-dress, but has always been ashamed in the past. Or maybe they hate undressing because they loathe their body shape/type/size. Whatever their transformation, it needs to be a powerful one that turns us on—they begin their journey ashamed and end feeling liberated.
We believe we have a unique opportunity here, as activists, to show the world that recovery from sexual shame is both positive and hot.
Stories of coming to terms with a sexual and/or gender identity are particularly desirable, as are those of breaking free of societal restraints. We also warmly welcome all sexual and gender identities, in terms of both characters and contributors.
Authors will be paid $25 per story—but as Go Deeper Press grows in size, our listed authors will receive rises and royalties. We’re after stories from 1500 to 4000 words. We buy first worldwide digital rights. No reprints, please.
Please submit stories or novels in a word document, using a 12-point serif font such as Georgia or Times New Roman. One inch margins please. If you are using a pen name, please include both your real name and pen name in your email cover letter and on the manuscript itself. Please also include a list of previous publications —and if you are a new writer, let us know that you are committed to editing your work.
Deadline: April 30th, 2013 (Midnight EST)
