Attraction is Personal–We Should Learn from Girls (the show)

This is great and rather appropriate given my other posts today.
I like Girls. Well, I sort of like Girls. What Lena Dunham is pretty fantastic and I commend her, but I sometimes have a hard time watching the show because I find most of the characters entirely unlikable.
But I digress. That there would be debate over the potential of a Dunham/Wilson hook-up should look no further than another popular show: Modern Family. The pairing of Ed O’Neill and Sophia Vergera is questioned, but only mildly. Why? Because less conventionally attractive men are coupled with bombshells all the time in film and television. It is just an accept, hypocritcal norm.
I applaud Emily for writing this and putting it out there that at any time, at any moment anyone is going to pick up and fuck anyone.
