YES! THIS! YES!
Well, mostly yes.
It still does surprise me that people misunderstand pornography. The Love Birds definitely get it right here. It is an aid. It is a pleasure. It is something that people watch for sexual fun. We need to start accepting this and not fearing it!
I really enjoyed this video, except for when the Doctors Bird tried to put a definition to pornography. They offer many variations on what porn is, breaking it down to watching anything that titillates.
I don’t know about this. Here’s the Oxford definition of pornography:
Definition of pornography
noun[mass noun]
printed or visual material containing the explicit description or display of sexual organs or activity, intended to stimulate sexual excitement.
While I appreciate the Birds’ attempt to put a mainstream and healthy connection on porn, I don’t think it is right to attribute every day happenings to porn. Now, if you want to film or photograph or write about every day things that titillate, well, then you’re making porn. After all, that is has a medium is key. Porn doesn’t just float in the air. If it did…everything in the world could be labeled porn.
