I’m well aware that there are many, many reviews out there for Fleshlight products. In fact, I didn’t really intend to do a write up of the product, I just requested it as research for my upcoming Sex Toys for Savvy Boys workshop. Really, I knew I couldn’t do a talk about sex toys for men without including the wildly successful Fleshlight. So it made perfect sense to give it a whirl.
Now, I will readily admit that I’ve mocked this toy since I heard of it. And pretty much all “fakies.” No disrespect to those who use and enjoy them, but I always figured my hand is a better and free alternative to actual fucking.
Maybe I’m cheap? Maybe I don’t like the idea of putting my cock in a replica?

Seriously, the Fleshlight felt so damn good.
I might have a little one night stand elation happening here, because I have only tried it out a few times, but when the opportunity arises, I’ll definitely use it more.
In case you’re not familiar with this gizmo of grind, the Fleshlight is much what it sounds. It looks like an oversized flashlight with a removable end cap. Take that cap off and you are presented with a skin-like orifice in which you put your cock (or whatever else you think might get stimulated in there!).
Coming in a variety of different skin tones (realistic and fantastic) and orifices (mouths, anuses, vulvas), the appearance of the toy is almost laughable. I always remember the scene in Zack and Miri Make a Porno about “discretionary jacking off”. However, as funny as it might look…that lack of pretty design is more than made up for.
My particular Fleshlight, the Stamina Training Unit is totally funny looking…but it does feel good.
Inside the canister is the soft material that give you the good feelings. I can’t tell you want that material is because that is a company secret! Oh, the intrigue! It is, however, comprised of phthalate-free polymers. (If you really want to know, you can check out the Wikipedia entry, that lists what is noted on the public patent.)
There are numerous different inner sleeves, that provide different sensations. Mine looks like this:
The sleeve is removable, for a couple reasons. The first should be obvious: you are going to have to clean the thing. The second is actually the first instruction for use. You are advised to heat the inner sleeve in warm water to achieve the desired warmth. I tried both warm and fresh off the nightstand. No difference, but of course, try for yourself.
When you’re really do get down to business, you need to remember a very important thing: use only water-based lubricants with your Fleshlight. Others will degrade the inner sleeve.
So, now you’re ready with the right lube, the rest is pretty self-explanatory.
But just in case…here we go.
1. Lube your cock.
2. Lube your Fleshlight.
3. Put your cock in the Fleshlight.
4. Move it around in whichever way feels best until you cum.

As you may have already guessed, I have very much enjoyed my experiences with the Fleshlight. The fit is snug, but accommodating to various types of movement and very tender feeling. The water-based lube goes very well with the material, creating a close to natural feeling orifice. I can’t say it is entirely the same as a vulva, but it is good. You can also adjust the end of the unit to decrease or increase the suction (created through your movements). This comes in very handy. I actually find the strongest suction setting (which I used throughout) to be just too strong when I orgasmed. The feeling was too intense. So, the next time I played with it and eased the suction off just as I began to cum and it felt much better.
And clean up is pretty easy! Remove the inner sleeve, give both parts a rinse and you’re done! I haven’t forgotten or fallen asleep yet, and had the remnants crust on over time, but I image that won’t be too hard to clean either.
So, I have to admit, I was entirely wrong to laugh behind the Fleshlight’s back. It is a very welcome addition to my toy chest!
