The weather and the words are getting hotter and hotter!
The last meetup was a good one! Rachel Kramer Bussel gave us tips about submitting erotica for publication, another fun icebreaker and some excellent readings. Building on that, here’s what is in store for this coming meetup!
Raffle! Everyone who comes to the meetup will be entered into a raffle for a gift certificate from Come As You Are. The draw will take place just before the start of the open mic. Make sure you get a ticket!
7:30pm: Tamara Faith Berger, author of the hot novel Maidenhead has been called Canada’s Most Dangerous Writer. She’s going to come chat about writing sex…and how this is different than erotica
8:00pm: Another fun icebreaker! The icebreaker will conclude at 8:45 to ensure there is time to set up for the open mic and raffle draw.
9:00pm: ORAL: Adventures in Erotica Open Mic reading: I am going to look into another format to record and present this to make it longer (if there are enough readers). However, I am now instituting a strict 7 minute limit to any story. You’ll get time warnings, but please know that I will cut you off at the 7 minute mark. There will be a sign up list posted at the bar. Depending on demand, the open mic will go as late at 10pm.
***If you want to present a multimedia piece, Francis has graciously offered to supply a projector. It would be fantastic if you could let me know by Tuesday June 26 if you would like to make use of it.
