Ya gotta love when skepticism gives way to pleasure!
This is actually the second time I’ve written about/reviewed Sex Butter as a product. The first time, I received a small sample of the product and I was hesitant to give it a try. It sat around for a little while, and when I eventually tried it with my partner we were pleased, but not overwhelmed. It was “okay” but not as miraculous as the company claims. When the opportunity was given to receive a bigger sample, and review it for this blog, I thought, sure, let’s try it again.
This time around, that bigger sample has made all the difference. I absolutely LOVE Sex Butter.
The first thing we noticed, receiving the actual product, is the very attractive jar. Packaging can get me. There’s lots of room for being cheesy with sex products, but Sex Butter’s jar is just plain sexy. I like keeping it on the bedside table.
When we got into the butter itself, we learned you don’t need much of it—Sex Butter goes a long way! This kinda flies in the face of the small sample not really doing it for me, but I can’t really explain that. When you dip your fingers in, the butter is a bit hard, a bit crumbly. But just work it together with your fingers and it quickly melts into one of the best lubes I’ve ever tried. Silky smooth and long lasting!
Note: Sex Butter is an oil-based lubricant and because of that, it is recommended it not be used with latex condoms. Also, it has a soothing, slightly numbing effect (more on that) so I personally wouldn’t recommend it for inexperienced anal or fisting play. Get used to it first, get used to the sensation, then it should be fine.
Back to the good stuff!
I am not a fan of lube when I receive a handjob. Never have been. I find it extends the wank too long, at which point most lubes are getting sticky and annoying. But I could lie back and get tugged using Sex Butter for as long as my or my partner’s arm will handle it. We’ve had some long sessions with it and it feels great the whole time. The tingly, minty sensation is also a welcome surprise. It does create a bit of a numbing effect, and I’ve noticed that even after a long handjob and then moving to sex with my partner, it does give me some extra staying power, while at the same time increasing (somewhat) the sensitivity of my cock.
While Sex Butter Canada claim this could happen, I really didn’t believe it. Perhaps this is why I was skeptical in the first place. But, well, I’m a believer now! It isn’t going to make your cock a rock-hard machine with the tender sensitivity to feel a breath of wind a kilometer away…but it is a nice feeling.
I also love Sex Butter for anal play. While I do recommend you slowly get used to the product before going all out in your ass, once you are used to it, it feels great. Again, best lube I’ve tried. The tingly sensation is pronounced, but not overwhelming, and feeling my partner’s fingers slide in and out of my ass with Sex Butter is just delightful.
