Pubes Are A Hairy Subject

A well-reasoned discussion on pubic hair, focussing particularly on women, from the always interesting Cara Sutra.

However, her mention of men and body hair gets me thinking. Men rarely talk about this together (in my experience), though male body hair treatment is becoming more common. Guys are becoming just as influenced by media about what they “should” do about body hair, and more often than not, it is to remove it.

However, when you go back, historically, men are the first who have been significantly influenced in terms of body hair removal. Think about our facial hair. Shaving or not shaving faces has been significantly important for centuries in some cultures.

That attitude has always rankled me, just as the idea of women being subjected to ridicule for not shaving does now. Pits, legs, pussy…why does anyone else care?
